  • Page 9 QUICKSTART GUIDE Welcome to your GigaCore 30i. Upon unpacking your new GigaCore, the E-ink display will display a QR-code. After scanning this QR-code, the safety manual and quick start guide will be opened on the device used for scanning. Once the device has been powered up and booted, this QR-code will disappear and not come back on a following bootup.
  • Page 10 1. INSTALLING/REMOVING PSU’s The GigaCore 30i is equiped with two slots for slide-in power supply units (PSU). MOUNTING A PSU Slide a PSU, suitable for your setup, in PSU slot 1 (left-hand slot). Make sure ƒ the label is at the top! Secure the PSU with the thumb screw fasteners.

    2. MOUNTING THE DEVICE 2.1 Rack mount In case you want to mount your GigaCore 30i in a standard 19-inch rack, you need 4 rack screws to mount the device. 3. POWER UP THE DEVICE Power-up the device with a power cable with IEC connection (J) (please contact your local dealer if you don’t have a suitable power cable on hand).

    6. INSTALLING SFP+ TRANSCEIVERS The GigaCore 30i is equiped with six SFP+ cages at the front of the unit. Insert the transceiver into the SFP+ cage. Once properly engaged, the transceiver can’t be removed. Bail wire delatch Dust cap Device shown with dust cap and bail wire delatch.
