    • The ACT2000C01 module and the mounting frame should always be installed, maintained, operated and removed by personnel with sufficient technical qualifications. The equipment should never be placed in damp areas, near splashing liquid, or in explosive or corrosive atmospheres.

    1 - Remove the blank panel covering the front of the empty slot chosen for installing the ACT2000C01 in the mounting frame. 2 - Insert the ACT2000C01 module into the front of the mounting frame. The edges of the card slide into two plastic guides inside the mounting frame.

    - As indicators of an error in the inputs: GPIO1 for the Main input (MAIN) and GPIO2 for the Reserve input (RES). This mode of use of the GPIOs is suitable for using two ACT2000C01 as an automatic switch for a pair of stereo audio signals.

OPERATION This section describes the significance of the front panel indicators of the ACT2000C01 module and their remote control and monitoring ability. 4.1. Front panel description The appearance of the front panel and the elements it contains are shown in the following illustration.

    The ACT2000C01 automatically selects the higher priority, error-free input at all times. In the case of an error present in both inputs, the ACT2000C01 stays with the input that was selected prior to the appearance of the error. The Main input is higher priority and the Reserve input is lower priority by default, however this can be inverter using the control software.

    These values come programmed by default from the factory as zero and 500 ms, respectively. In addition, when an error occurs in one input the ACT2000C01 only switches to the other input if the other input has a valid signal. 4.3.2. Semiautomatic Mode operation This operating mode minimizes the amount of input switching.

    ACT2000C01 4.3.5. GPIO Mode Operation This mode of operation is suitable for using two ACT2000C01 as an automatic switch for a pair of stereo audio signals. The GPIO1 and GPIO2 terminals of each of two modules must be connected with the respective terminals of the other module.

In order to perform remote configuration and supervision of the module an optional TL2000 family remote communications controller must be installed in the mounting frame.
