    3.2. Safety instructions When the module incorporates any optional SFP/SFP+ optic fiber transmitter provided by Albalá Ingenieros, the SEM2000C01 is a CLASS 1 LASER product as per the IEC 60825-1 standard. Please read the safety instructions included in this manual carefully before using this module.

    Albalá Ingenieros | Manual SEM2000C01 • The SEM2000C01 is used with optic transmitter modules that contain laser diodes. These modules are CLASS 1 LASER products. Due to its features these devices are inherently safe. However, exercise CAUTION as there is invisible laser radiation in the fiber optic connectors.

    1 - Remove the blank panel covering the front of the empty slot chosen for installing the SEM2000C01 in the mounting frame. 2 - Insert the SEM2000C01 module into the front of the mounting frame. The edges of the card slide into two plastic guides inside the mounting frame.

The receptacle labeled OPTICAL PORT is for the installation of an SFP module and allows connection to 1000Base-SX, 1000Base-LX or 1000Base-CX LANs as per IEEE std 802.3.

OPERATION This section describes the significance of the front panel indicators of the SEM2000C01 module and their remote control and monitoring ability. 4.1. Front panel description The appearance of the front panel and the elements it contains are shown in the following illustration.

    No adjustments are necessary to use synchronous Ethernet functionality. The SEM2000C01 periodically sends a Synchronization Status Message (SSM) to all the devices connected to it as per the ITU-T G.8264 standard. The SEM2000C01 automatically chooses which clock to use as a reference, giving priority to the 10 MHz signal coming from a GNSS receiver module installed in the same mounting frame, such as the GPS2001C01.

In order to perform remote configuration and supervision of the module an optional TL2000 family remote communications controller must be installed in the mounting frame.
