2. Using the Fire Flash Drive

Connecting the drive:

Please note: All supported operating systems already have the drivers built in to
support the FireWire drive. There are no drivers available from Kanguru
Solutions to support this device. If your IEEE1394 (FireWire) drivers are missing,
then you will need to download these from your OS vendor.
1. If your computer is not turned on, please do so at this time and wait for
your operating systems to load.
2. Remove the cap from your Kanguru Fire Flash drive and plug it into any 6-
pin FireWire port on your computer.
NOTE:
If you only have 4-pin FireWire ports available, then you will need
to first connect the Kanguru Fire Flash drive to the 6 to 4 pin adapter in
order to power the drive. The 6 to 4 pin adapter requires you to
connect it to a USB port to draw power for the drive. (see image
below)
3. The LED on the Fire Flash should light up Blue to indicate a powered
connection. Check to make sure the drive is recognized by your system.
PC users: A removable drive icon will appear in My Computer.
Mac users: A disk drive icon will appear on the desktop.
