To remove the auger on a Cub Cadet 521E:
1. Stop the Engine – Turn off the engine and disconnect the spark plug wire for safety. 2. Remove Obstructions – If an object is stuck in the auger, remove it first. 3. Disassemble the Auger – The auger wipers may be riveted on. Use a large drill bit to drill out the back side of the rivets until they release. For rivets near the sides, use a punch and hammer to remove them. 4. Check Drive Components – If the auger is not functioning properly, inspect and adjust the drive cable or replace the drive belt if needed.
For further repairs beyond minor adjustments, refer to the snow thrower manual or contact a dealer.
