Installation

INTRODUCTION
This
section
reviews
the optional functions
of
the
7706,
how
lo
install
the
7706,
and
gives specifications
at
the
end
of
this
section.
INSTALLATION
The
7706
Battery
Backed
Byte-
W
ide
RAM
card
functions
as a part
of
an
3TD
BUS
system.
It
can
bo plugged
into
any
slot in
an
STD
BUS
card
cage.
The
white ejector tab
must be
at
the top
of
the
card
cage
(see
Fig. 2-1).
If
access
to
the
card
is
needed, an extender
card,
such
as
Pro-Log's
7901
card,
can be plugged
into
the
card
cage and
tne
7706
plugged
into
the
extender
card.
Procedures
for installing
and
remov-
ing
the
card
with
data
retention
arc
given
in
Section
3
of
this
manual
under
the
"Powering
Up
and
Down
with
Data
Reten-
tion"
heading.
Caution
Always
be
sure
power
is
off
before
inserting or
removing
the
7706.
