INTRODUCTION
This section explains the
operation
and
use
of
the
7706
card.
WRITE
INHIBIT
SWITCHES
There
are
four Write
Inhibit
switches. Figure 3-1
shows
their
location
arid
which
memory
parts are affected
by each
switch.
Each
switch protects
one
4K
block
of
memory.
To
inhibit writing,
the
switches should
be
in
the
"OFF"
or
"OPEN"
position.
With
the
write
line inhibited,
the
memory
functions as
ROM.
These
switches
should
be used
when
inserting or
re
moving
the
card
with
data
retention.
