1. Be sure to clean the heads

5-1. REC/PB HEAD PROJECTION ADJSUTMENT
1) Remove the LID CASE.
2) Set the cassette head projection gauge (M61AT751180) and set to PLAY mode, and confirm so that the reading on the
cassette head projection gauge is 3.4 +0.3mm.
3) Ifthe reading on the cassette head projection gauge is not obtained 3.4 +0.3mm, put the screwdriver into the hole (a)
on the HEAD BASE and slightly twist it and adjust so that the reading on the cassette head projection gauge is 3.4 +0.3mm.
4) After adjustment, press the STOP button and set to PLAY mode again, confirm the reading on the cassette head projection
gauge as well as 3.4 +0.3mm, and set to the IPSS (music search) mode, confirm the reading on the cassette head projection
gauge is 2.6 +0.3mm (Refer to Fig. 5-1)
5-2. TAPE GUIDE HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT
1) Connect an AC milli-voltmeter to LINE OUT.
2) Set the mirror cassette tape and set to PLAY mode.

For best result, repeat step 4) in 5-2 TAPE GUIDE
HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT and 5-3 REC/PB HEAD
AZIMUTH ALIGNMENT ADJUSTMENT for sev-
eral times.
