Cleaning

Clean the box regularly. Switch it off by turning the
control knob to „O". Wipe the in- and outside using a
mild, unscented detergent. Do not use strong, or
abrasive cleaners, scouring powders, wire wool or
solvents as these may damage it. Wipe the box dry
after cleaning.
Any impurities or liquids in the interior should be elimi-
nated immediately.

Defrosting

During operation ice will form on the evaporator inside the box. If this ice layer gets to thick, it
will impair the function of the coolbox. Remove the ice by defrosting:
Disconnect the appliance from any electrical power source, remove all foodstuffs and allow the
ice to melt. Do not use any tools to scrap the ice. This could damage the surfaces. Clean as
above.

Useful suggestions

Before using the coolbox on battery operation, run it on mains for about 24 hours. Place food
in pre-cooled condition into the appliance. This will substantially increase the lifetime of your
battery.
If the coolbox is not to be used for a period of time (i.e. during winter) :
- After defrosting clean in- and outside.
- To prevent unpleasant odours forming in the coolbox, the lid should be left slightly open, so
that the air can circulate inside.
- Switch on the coolbox regularly (we recommend every 4 weeks) for about 30 minutes.

Maintenance

To ensure safety and reliability of your appliance, any reparation and maintenance work should
only be done by authorized technicians and service centers. Only original spare parts must be
used.
