Use the SAMPLE-IN method
when you want to sample the
sound of a person's voice from
your television set or radio, or
the sound of music from a
record or tape player, etc. With
this method, you will need the
optional connecting cable. Plug
the connecting cable into the
SAMPLE IN jack on the VSS-30
and the LINE OUT jack on the
external source (stereo, radio
and so on).
To Sample a Sound
After choosing the sound you
want to sample and the sampling
method, press the SAMPLE
selector (4). The keyboard will
subsequently sound a "beep",
then sample the desired sound
(sampling takes about 2.2
seconds). After the voice is
sampled, the keyboard will play it
back automatically for confirma-
tion. The OVER WRITE selector
©) allows you to obtain a "sound
on sound" effect.

Anschlußkabel benötigt. Das
Anschlußkabel in die Buchse
SAMPLE IN am VSS-30 und die
Buchse LINE OUT an der
Tonquelle (Stereoanlage, Radio
etc.) einstecken.
Einfangen eines Sounds
Wenn ein gewünschter Sound und
die Sampling-Methode gewählt ist,
den Schalter SAMPLE (4) drücken.
Jetzt erklingt ein Signalton (Piepton)
vom Keyboard, und der gewünschte
Sound kann festgehalten werden
(Samplingzeit etwa 2,2 Sekunden).
Wenn der Sound festgehalten ist,
spielt das Keyboard automatisch zur
Bestätigung ab. Der Schalter OVER
WRITE ©) erlaubt es, "Sound on
Sound" Effekte zu erzielen.

6 Se servir de la méthode
SAMPLE-IN quand on souhaite
prendre un échantillon de la voix
d'une personne à la télévision ou
à la radio, le son de la musique
d'un disque ou d'une bande,
etc. Dans ce cas, un câble de
raccordement en option est
requis. Brancher ce câble dans
la prise SAMPLE-IN du VSS-30
et dans la prise LINE OUT de la
source externe {chaîne stéréo,
radio, etc.).
Echantillonnage d'un son
Aprés avoir choisi le son á
échantillonner et la méthode
d'échantillonnage, appuyer sur le
sélecteur SAMPLE ( 4 ) . Le clavier
fait alors entendre un "bip"; puis,
il échantillonne le son souhaité,
ce qui prend environ 2,2 secondes.
Une fois la voix échantillonnée, le
clavier la reproduit automatique-
ment á titre de confirmation. Le
sélecteur OVER WRITE (5) permet
d'obtenir un effet "son sur son".

Para muestrear un sonido
Después de elegir.el sonido que
desee muestrear y el método de
muestreo, presione el selector
SAMPLE (). El teclado emitirá un
pitido, y después muestreará el
sonido (en el muestreo se emplearán
aproximadamente 2,2 segundos).
Después de muestrear el sonido, el
teclado lo reproducirá automática-
mente para su confirmación. El
selector OVER WRITE (5) le
permitirá obtener un efecto de
"sonido sobre sonido".
