(3.6.5) Trigger Input Advanced Settings

This section of the Trigger Edit menu has advanced parameters to fine-tune each of
the trigger input's responses based on your style of playing. See the parameters below
that can be adjusted using the Small Encoders.
Note: Some parameters have multiple pages. Swipe right on the lower part of the
screen to go to the next page; swipe left to go to the previous page.
Note: These Advanced settings are helpful if you want to program a new drum or
cymbal trigger from scratch, such as a third-party trigger that is not included as a
preset. The Advanced settings are not normally needed for the factory trigger presets.

Description
This specifies the detection time for the trigger signal.
Increasing this will increase latency/delay, so the
factory presets are set low, and it is not
recommended to change them. If you are
programming a new trigger, settings that are too low
will yield very unpredictable dynamics, and difficulty
getting loud hits. Values that are too high may cause
difficulty with rimshots, and as mentioned, will
increase latency.
Adjust this to prevent false triggers that occur very
soon after the initial trigger, causing a "flamming"
sound. Turning this up too high will cause notes to me
missed during faster playings or buzz rolls.
Adjust this in conjunction with the Mask Time to
prevent false triggers that happen shortly after the
initial trigger (after 20 ms). For example, if you are
programming an acoustic drum trigger and the drum
it is attached to has a long ringing sound, this setting
will help filter false triggers due to the late ringing.
Value Range
0.4 – 15.0 ms
1 – 128 ms
