Before requesting
service
for this unit, check the chart below for a
possible cause of the problem you are experiencing. Some simple
checks or a minor adjustment
on your part may eliminate
the
problem and restore proper operation.
If you are in doubt
about some of the check points, or if the
remedies indicated
in the chart do not solve the problem,
refer to

While listening
to FM broadcasts
An unusual hissing noise is
heard when listening to the
broadcast in stereo, but not
heard when listening
monaurally.
Noise is excessive in both
stereo and monaural broad-
casts.

the quartz lock indicator
flickers, without completely
illuminating.
Excessive distortion in the
sound of stereo broadcasts.
A slight noise may be heard because the method
used for modulation of FM stereo broadcasts is

Common Problems
Power will not switch ON.
No sound is heard.
