10 COMMISSIONING THE SYSTEM

Ensure that the installation complies with section 9 - Installation.
If you do not know about the compass or have accuracy problems you can perform a
simple test by raising or lowering the detector about the centre point to determine the
correct height to obtain best results. The MD54 Adhesive Mount is available in different
thicknesses. Generally the thickness required is 10mm but other thicknessess are
available. This assembly is then attached to magnetic compass. For installations where
the MD54 Adhesive Mount cannot be fitted then it is recommended to use the MD58
Mounting Bracket.
If an error condition arises then refer to section 12 - Maintenance and fault-finding.
