You can record a subject focused in its
single part with a smaller focus area than
usual. This setting is particularly suitable to
focus on the eye when you record one's
face. l
[Preparation]
¢ Set the operational mode dial and REC
mode dial. (P25)
1 Press the [MENU] button.
2 Press A/V to select [SPOT AF].
3 Press </> to set to [ON].
4 Press the [MENU] button.
¢ The menu will disappear.
5 Center the subject in the spot focus
area.
6 Taka picture.
+ The recording method is the same as
in "Taking Pictures (AUTO Mode)".

* In AUTO [[A]] or motion image [E8] mode, it is not possible to record with
the spot AF.
