MAINTENANCE
Important
You must disconnect the appliance from the electricity
supply, before you can carry out any cleaning or
maintenance work.
External Cleaning
Use only soap and water and then dry thoroughly.
From time to time, apply a little wax furniture cream with
a soft cloth.
Important: do not use methylated spirit, diluents or
similar products.
Cleaning The Door
Clean
periodically the
interior part of the door to
remove any fluff. Accura-
te
cleaning
ensures
correct drying.
Cleaning The Filter
—
Your
dryer
will
only
function well if the filter is
clean.
The filter collects all the
"fluff? which accumulates
during drying and it must
therefore
be removed
and cleaned at the end of
each programme.
The filter is composed of
two parts to facilitate cleaning.
To remove the filter it is sufficient to lift it up.
It is perfectly normal for fluff to accumulate in the filter
during drying. In fact, even fabrics dried in the open air
lose their fibres, but we do not notice it.
SOMETHING NOT WORKING?
Certain problems are due to lack of simple mainte-
nance or oversights and can be solved easily without
having to call the Servicing Department.
If the appliance does not start up:
Check that:

the door is firmly shut;
=
there is electricity supply from the socket;
=
the mains fuse is intact;
=
the drying time selector dial has been set correctly;
=
the catch situated at the top, on the inside of the
door, is in position.
If the appliance does not dry properly:
Check that:
=
the filter is not clogged;
=
the drying time is sufficient;
=
the machine is not overloaded;
=
the installation has been carried out according to the
relevant instructions. !n particular, check efficiency of
air-intake louvres and of the condensation vent.
If you are unable to identify or solve the problem, call
your nearest Service Centre.
Before telephoning, make
a note of the make, model
and date of purchase of
your machine: the Service
Centre will require this
information.
