When I try to make a call I receive the message 'Line in use' but the phone is not in use. Can you suggest anything?
The Alcatel E260 S VOICE displays 'Line in use' when making a call because the phone is either currently connected to an active call or another handset registered to the same base station is using the line. This indicator ensures users are aware that the line is occupied.

E260 S Voice - Handset keeps saying line in use when trying to ring a number
The Alcatel E260 S Voice handset may say "line in use" when trying to make a call because the phone is already on a call or held. The manual states that an icon indicates when the phone is online or held, and it blinks when receiving an incoming call. This suggests that another handset or device may be using the line, preventing a new call from being made.
