Numeric Functions
HP-20S functions require either one or two arguments (an argument
is a number acted upon by a function):
B Functions with one argument act on the number in the display. For
example, 6
calculates the square root of 6.
B Functions with two arguments use
to separate the argu-
ments. For example, 4
5[4)
calculates the percent
change between 4 and 5. The arguments can be expressions. For
example, 1(+]3
2(+]3[)
also calculates the percent
change between 4 and 5.
B Polar/rectangular coordinate conversions use two arguments and
return two results.
