Your camera cannot record images.
• Check tile free capacity of the _'Memory Stick Duo" (page 22). If it is full, do one of tile
following:
Delete unnecessa U images (_ st_,l_ 6 in "Ream This Firat' )
Change the "Memory Stick Duo".
• You are using the "Memory Stick Duo" with the write-protect switch, and the switch is set to
the LOCK position. Set tile switch to the recording position (page 90).
• You cannot record images while charging the flash.
• Set the mode switch to a when shooting still images.
• Set the mode switch to _ when shooting movies.
• The image size is set to [640(Fine)] when recording movies. Do one of the following:
Set the image size to other than [640(Fine)].
Insert a "Memory Stick PRO Duo" (page 9(}).
The subject is not visible on the screen.
• Set the mode s_itch to an other position than [] (page 24).
Recording takes a long time.
• The NR sioux shutter function is activated (page 18). This is not a mall_mction.
The image is out of focus.
• The subject is too close. Record in the close-up IiVlacro)recording mode. Make sure to
position the lens farther away from the subject than the shortest shooting distance,
approximately 8 cm (3 114inches) (W)125 cm (9 718inches) (T), when shooting !_ *t(-p5 it*
"Read Thi,s Fir*t'). Or, select [O,] (Magnil)'ing glass mode) and lbcus from a distance of
approx. 1cm to 20 cm ( 13132inch to 7 718inches) from the sul!iect.
• [O,] (Magnifying glass mode), ,.} (Tx_ ilight mode), [] (Landscape mode) or/_{_ (Fireworks
mode) is selected in the Scene mode x_hen shooting still images.
• The Focus preset fimction is selected. Select the auto focus mode (page 30).
• Refer to "If the subject is out of focus" on page 3I.
Optical zoom does not work.
• You cannol change the zoom scale when shooling movies.
• Select the olher mode Ihan [O,] (Magnil'ying glass mode).
Precision digital zoom does not function.
• Set [Digilal Zoom] Io [Precision] !page 45 .
• This function cannot be used while shooling movies.
