Set-Up Features (cont.)
Mode (TV or Cable)
IMPORTANT NOTE: The proper input mode must be
selected for the type of signal at the antenna input.
e
TVisused when the Receiver is not connected to
a Cable TV System, for example, when using a
VHF/UHF antenna (Channels 02-69).
e
CABLE is used when the Receiver is connected
to a Cable TV System.
NOTE: Some
Cable TV Systems encode
(scramble)
program material on specific channels. A cable
company
supplied
decoder
is required
to
reproduce an acceptable picture. Certain Cable
TV Systems offset some channels to reduce
interference. It will be necessary to use the cable
company
supplied converter to receive these
specific channels.

Press
Œœ) to display the Main Menu.
2.
Press ô) ur Ww and & or? to highlight the Set Up
Icon.
3.
Press (e) to display the Set ida Menu.
4.
Press A or X to highlight Mode.
Press e or I» to select TV or CABLE.
Press
twice to exit menus.
Auto Program - rhe Auto Programming feature
allows you to place all channels with a video signal into
Channel Scan Memory. When you press
AÀ or S, only
those channels with a video signal will be accessed.
NOTE: TV orCable Tuning mode must be set properly for
your system.
1.
Press (eJ) to display the Main Menu.
2.
Press A dr and al ort» to highlight the Set Up
Icon.
3.
Press c
to display the Set Up Mena:

Press A or V to highlight AUTO PROGRAM.
Press el or D to start Auto Programming Scan.
Channels will automatically advance until all channels
have been scanned.
Note:
Channel numbers with video signal present
will turn
blue which
indicates
stored
in
Channel Scan Memory.
6.
Press
twice to exit menus.
Note:
Some channels with very weak signals may
be locked into memory.
If desired, these
channels can be deleted manually using the
nane ee
toarre:
Ped BI LK
MR
Blue channel number indicates channel is in Channel
Scan Memory.
All channels are available by direct access using the
numeric keypad (0 through 9 buttons).
Up to 15 channels
will be programmed into. the
FAVORITE
Channel Scan after Auto Programming
Scan has been completed. Any original channels that
were programmed into FAV CHANNEL will remain.
(Refer to Favorite Channel Scan for deleting unwanted
channels.)
