Set-Up Features (cont.)
Convergence Adj. (Adjustment) — This unit
incorporates a special Digital Convergence Adjustment
feature.
For the convenience
of the customer,
this
adjustment is preset at the factory. Adjustment may be
required when the Receiver is moved due to the influence
of earth's
magnetic
field
on
the
projection
tubes.
Convergence can also be reset as necessary. Perform the
convergence adjustment using the following procedure.
Green Adjustment
Turn the Receiver ON and tune in a local channel that
provides a clear picture. The test pattern requires a
received channel for stabilization. Green is the standard
reference for the convergence adjustment procedure.
Follow the steps below.

Green
horizontal
and vertical test lines must be
present at the screen frame mechanical

marks.

Align the Green test marks with the frame mechanical
reference marks. Press E or > on Remote Control
for horizontal movement and LX or V7 on Remote
Control for the vertical movement.
Red Adjusment
8.
Press
on the Remote Control to display red
adjustment menu.
Note:
A properly converged cross pattem will appear
as white with a minimum of red color fringing.

Align the Red Cross with the white cross pattern at the
center of the screen. Press «qj or = on Remote
Control for horizontal movement and A or Ve? on
Remote Control for the vertical movement.
Blue Adjustment
10. Press
on the Remote Control to display blue
adjustment menu.
11. Align the Blue Cross with the white cross pattern at the
center of the screen. Press «i or E on Remote
Control for horizontal movement and A or V7 on
Remote Control for the vertical movement.
12. Press
three times to exit menus.
