Symptom
A vertical band
appears when you
shoot a subject such as lights or a
candle flame against a dark
background.
A vertical band appears when
you
shoot a very bright subject.
Some tiny white spots appear in the
viewfinder
or on the LCD screen.
An unknown picture is displayed in
the viewflnder or on the LCD screen.
The picture is recorded
in incorrect or
unnatural colors.

Cause and/or Corrective Actions
• The contrast between the subject and backgi"ound is too
high. Your camcorder is not a malfunction.

• Slow shutter, low lux or NightShot ÷Slow shutter mode is
activated. This is not a malfunction.
• If 10 minutes elapse after you set,the POWER switch to
CAMERA or DEMO MODE is set to ON in the MENq.J
settings without a cassette inserted, your camcorder
automatically starts the demonstration.
• ">Insert a cassette and the demonstration
stops.
