Note:
Run the machine with the blade-control
switch (PTO) engaged and the engine at high
idle for 2 to 5 minutes after washing.

Prepare the machine for storage for over
30 days as follows:
A.
Add fuel stabilizer/conditioner to fresh fuel
in the tank. Follow mixing instructions from
the fuel stabilizer manufacturer. Do not
use an alcohol-based stabilizer (ethanol or
methanol).
B.
Run the engine to distribute conditioned fuel
through the fuel system for 5 minutes.
C.
Shut off the engine, allow it to cool, and
drain the fuel tank using a pump type
syphon or operate engine until it shuts off.
D.
Dispose of fuel properly. Recycle the fuel
according to local codes.
Important:
stabilizer/conditioner longer than
the duration recommended by the
fuel-stabilizer manufacturer.

Remove and check the condition of the spark
plug(s); refer to
Servicing the Spark Plug (page
35). With the spark plug(s) removed from the
engine, pour 30 ml (2 tablespoons) of engine
oil into the spark plug hole. Use the starter to
crank the engine and distribute the oil inside the
cylinder. Install the spark plug(s). Do not install
the wire on the spark plug(s).
15.
Check and tighten all fasteners. Repair or
replace any part that is damaged.
16.
Paint all scratched or bare metal surfaces. Paint
is available from your Authorized Service Dealer.
17.
Store the machine in a clean, dry garage or
storage area. Remove the key from the switch
and keep it out of reach of children or other
unauthorized users. Cover the machine to
protect it and keep it clean.

Storing the Battery

Fully charge the battery.
2.
Let the battery rest for 24 hours, then check the
battery voltage.
Note:
If the battery voltage is below 12.6 V,
repeat steps

Disconnect the cables from the battery.

Check the voltage periodically to ensure that the
voltage is 12.4 V or higher.
Note:
If the battery voltage is below 12.4 V,
repeat steps

Battery Storage Tips
If you are storing the battery outside the machine, do
the following:
Store the battery in a cool, dry area in an upright
position.
Do not stack batteries directly on top of each other,
unless they are in cartons.
Do not stack more than 3 batteries (only 2 if the
battery type is commercial).
Test a wet battery every 4 to 6 months and charge
it, if necessary.
Always test and charge the battery before
installation.
