If your oven is not heating properly, consider the following:
To unlock the control panel, ensure that the ovens, Timer, and Timed Cooking functions are off. Then, press and hold START until a single tone sounds. The display will show "Loc" and a picture of a lock, along with "START?", for approximately 5 seconds. Repeat this process to unlock the control and remove "Loc" from the display.
Your oven door is automatically locked during a Self-Cleaning cycle. The display will show "LOCKED". The door will remain locked until the oven cools down. If the oven temperature is too high after canceling a Self-Clean cycle, the door will also remain locked until it cools.
Cleaning methods vary by oven part:
If your oven is not turning on, check the following:
To start a self-clean cycle:
To preheat your oven, first select either the UPPER OVEN or LOWER OVEN if you have a double oven model. Then, press BAKE and use the TEMP "+" or "-" keypads to set your desired temperature, if different from 350°F (177°C). Finally, press START. The display will show "PrE" and a countdown during the preheat time. A tone will sound when the preheat conditioning time ends.

Odors and smoke are normal when the oven is used for the first few times or when it is heavily soiled. During the Self-Cleaning cycle, heavy soil can result in more smoke, so it is recommended to clean the oven before it becomes heavily soiled and to wipe out any loose soil to reduce smoke and damage. When broiling, using a broiler pan and grid helps drain juices and avoid spatter and smoke.

The oven is preset for a 3 hour 30 minute clean cycle. However, the time can be changed. Suggested clean times are 2 hours 30 minutes for light soil and between 3 hours 30 minutes to 4 hours 30 minutes for average to heavy soil.

To cancel a cooking cycle, press the UPPER OFF/CANCEL, LOWER OFF/CANCEL, or OFF/CANCEL pads. These pads stop their respective oven functions, but do not affect the Clock, Timer, or Control Lock functions.
You should self-clean the oven before it becomes heavily soiled, as heavy soil can result in longer cleaning times and more smoke.
The type of bakeware affects cooking results. Allow 2" (5 cm) of space around bakeware and oven walls for proper air circulation. Recommended bakeware types include:
The temperature range for baking is between 170°F and 500°F (77°C and 260°C). For broiling, the range can also be set between 170°F and 500°F (77°C and 260°C) for custom broil.
To replace the oven light bulb:
You can turn off the oven's audible tones. Press and hold STOP TIME for 5 seconds; a tone will sound, and on double ovens, "Snd OFF" will appear in the display. To re-enable tones, repeat the process, and "Snd On" will appear. Note that the cooling fan may continue to operate even after an oven function has been canceled, depending on the oven temperature.
