I got the double oven and it came without the power cord installed. I just need instructions on how to install the power cord to the oven.
To install the power cord on a Whirlpool RBS245PRB 24" Single Oven:
1. Disconnect power to prevent electrical shock.
2. Feed the flexible cable conduit from the oven through the cabinet opening.
3. Remove the junction box cover, if present.
4. Install a UL listed or CSA approved conduit connector to the junction box.
5. Connect wires using UL listed wire connectors:
- Connect the two black wires together.
- Connect the two red wires together.
- Untwist the white wire from the green (or bare) ground wire coming from the oven.
- Connect the white (neutral) wires together.
- Connect the green (or bare) ground wires together.
6. Install the junction box cover.
Use 8-gauge solid copper wire and ensure the oven is properly grounded.
