Usin~ the MONO button
This .button
can
be used to make It easier to check the resolution, white balance and coll\lergence of video signals.
The screen swltehes between a normal picture and a black-and-white picture (which oonsists of only the luminance
signal with the color signal components removed).

This function does not operate wheo RGB signals are being received.
This button can be 1,1S0d when Iha ON SCREEN button is set to ON.
Using the SYNC button
This button is used to switch
the
synchmni2ation signal being input to the monitor. When using sync signals which
are included in the Y (luminance) or G (green) signal components, set to "INT-SYNC": when a synchronization
signal is being input to the HD/SYNC or VD connector, set to "EXT-SYNC".
The synchroni2ation mode switches in the order "INT-SYNC'' {internal synchronization) "EXT-SYNC" (external
synchronization) "AUTO-SYNC" (automatic selection: external synchronization has priortly) each time the SYNC
button is pressed.

NOTE:
This button can
be
used whan the ON SCREEN button is set to ON.
The current setting is displayed the Ii rst time the SYNC button Is pressed, and the mode swijches when the
button is pressed after that.
This setting should normal~ be left at •AUTO-SYNC". (When setlo "AUTO-SYNC", external synchronization is
selected automatically

an external sync signal is presant. If no external sync signal is present, internal
synchronization is then selected.) If
"AUTO
SYNC' is selected but the synchronization is unstable, try selecting
either "EXT-SYNC'' or "INT-SYNC' manually.
•When
set to "INT-SYNC'', the CLAMP button setting is automatically switelled to "PEDESTAi:. However. if the
setting is changed back to "EXT-SYNC", the original CLAMP button setting is restored.
Using the
raster
itdjustment buttons
The raster adjustmoot buttons shown below which are underneath the remote control unit cover can
be
used to
adjust the screen s·ze, picture center position and hOfizontal pincuShion diStortion. They can also be
used
to switch
the scanning size arid to rsstore raster adjustment values to the factory defauH settings.
Following is a description of each of the raster adjustment buttons.

Arrow
buttons
These bu~:ons are used to adjust the setting levels in the various raster adjustment modes.
