How to connect additional battery on f3800
The Anker SOLIX F3800 is designed to connect only with the Anker SOLIX BP3800 Expansion Battery. Up to six BP3800 batteries can be connected to a single F3800 using the provided Battery-to-Host cable.
If attempting to connect a third-party battery, a charge controller is needed to regulate charging from solar panels. One possible workaround is to use a trickle charger powered by the F3800’s 120V outlet to charge the external battery. Then, an XT-60 connector can be used to route power from the external battery’s terminals to the solar input of a second F3800 unit, allowing excess power to flow back.
However, this setup requires custom wiring and may not be officially supported by Anker.
