Use a special vacuum cleaner if dusts with
hazard for health are created.
Tools and aids required
• Phillips screwdriver (not included)
Procedure (Fig. E)
1. Set the device to the highest milling
depth (Setting the milling depth,
p. 28).
2. Insert the adapter for external dust
extraction (20) into the recess in the
baseplate (8).
3. Attach the adapter for external dust ex-
traction (20) with the enclosed screws
(21).
4. Connect the suction hose of a vacuum
cleaner to the adaptor for external dust
extraction (20).

Operation

Switching on and off

Requirements
Switching on
1. Connect the device to the power sup-
ply.
2. Press the switch lock (11).
3. Press the On/Off switch (10).
4. Release the switch lock (11).
5. Check that the attachment tool is run-
ning smoothly. If not: Replace the at-
tachment tool.
6. Wait until the device has reached full
rotational speed.
7. Guide the attachment tool against the
workpiece.
Switching off
1. Remove the attachment tool from the
workpiece.
2. To turn it off, release the on/off switch
(10).
3. Wait until the power tool has stopped
before placing it down.
4. Pull the device plug out of the wall out-
let if you are leaving the device unat-
tended or if you have finished working.

Working instructions

Milling
 WARNING! Risk of injury! Always
mill in the opposite direction. in the pro-
cess, the device is moved counter to the
rotation direction of the cutter. Pay atten-
tion to the direction of rotation arrow (3)
on the device.
 WARNING! Risk of injury! Never mill
in the rotation direction (synchronous op-
eration). The device can be snatched out
of your hand.

General Information
• Use only the cutter that has a specified
permissible rotation speed, which is at
least as high as the maximum rotation
speed specified on the device.
• Always use the proper tools.
• Do not use any blunt or damaged tools
or accessories.
• Be aware that the cutter will protrude
from the bottom of the baseplate. En-
sure you do not damage your work-
piece or other objects as a result.
Procedure (Fig. F)
1. Fasten the workpiece securely on the
work surface.
2. Insert the cutter.
3. Set the desired milling depth.
4. Switch on the device.
5. Move the device to the area you wish
to work on.
