9. Position the new power button board in the power button board holder so that the tab
slot on the new power button board. Then, press the power button board as shown until it snaps into
position and is secured by the tab

10. Connect the cable of the new power button board to the power button board connector on the system
board. See "Parts on the system board" on page 6.
11. Reinstall the front bezel. See "Replacing the front bezel" on page 49.

Replacing the optical drive

Attention: Do not open your computer or attempt any repair before reading and understanding the "Read
this first: Important safety information" on page iii.
To replace the optical drive, do the following:
1. Remove any media from the drives and turn off all connected devices and the computer. Then,
disconnect all power cords from electrical outlets and disconnect all cables that are connected to the
computer.
2. Remove the computer cover. See "Removing the computer cover" on page 48.
3. Remove the front bezel. See "Replacing the front bezel" on page 49.
4. Locate the optical drive. See "Computer components" on page 5.
5. Disconnect the signal cable and the power cable from the rear of the optical drive.
