Removing Cable from Drain
1. Set the Trapsnake™ driver or drill forward/reverse
switch to the forward position ►.
2. Pull the trigger slightly and pull the tool back to
remove the cable from the drain. If using the auger
handle, rotate the handle in a clockwise motion
while pulling up on the handle until the cable is
retracted from the drain.
3. If the second half of the cable was released, the
additional cable must be returned.
Returning the Second Half of Cable
1. Pull the cable sleeve up as far as it will go, and
push down on the lower grip to lock the cable in
place .
2. Push the detent button in and push the cable
sleeve down until the ball locks into the top de-
tent hole.
3. Pull the lower grip up to unlock the cable
continue returning the cable from the drain.

MAINTENANCE

To reduce the risk of injury, always
WARNING
unplug the charger and remove the
battery pack from the charger or tool before
performing any maintenance. Never disassemble
the tool, battery pack or charger. Contact a
MILWAUKEE service facility for ALL repairs.
Maintaining Tool
Keep your tool, battery pack and charger in good
repair by adopting a regular maintenance program.
Inspect your tool for issues such as undue noise,
misalignment or binding of moving parts, breakage of
parts, or any other condition that may affect the tool
operation. Return the tool, battery pack, and charger
to a MILWAUKEE service facility for repair. After six
months to one year, depending on use, return the
tool, battery pack and charger to a MILWAUKEE
service facility for inspection.
If the tool does not start or operate at full power with
a fully charged battery pack, clean the contacts on
the battery pack. If the tool still does not work prop-
erly, return the tool, charger and battery pack, to a
MILWAUKEE service facility for repairs.

Replace cables as needed. See chart for accessory
part numbers and compatibility.
To remove the cable:
1. Remove the auger handle,Trapsnake™ driver or
drill from the auger.
2. Unclip the cable from the cable clip.
3. Using a Phillips #2 screwdriver, remove the four
screws from the auger handle cap.
4. Press the detent button in and pull the cable sleeve
up until the detent button locks into the bottom
detent hole.
5. Press the detent button in once more and pull
up on the cable sleeve to remove the cable. Set
cable sleeve aside.
6. Pull the cable out from the protective rubber boot
end of the auger.

7. When cleaning or maintaining the cable, follow the
cable cleaning instructions under "Maintenance".
To install the cable:
1. After completing steps 1-7 for removing the cable,
feed the cable anchor through the protective boot
until the cable anchor detent button appears about

4" above the upper grip of the auger.
2. Push down on the lower grip to lock the cable in
place .
3. Line up the cable anchor detent button with the
bottom detent hole on the cable sleeve.

4. Push the cable anchor detent button in and slide
the cable sleeve down into the tool until the detent
button locks into the top detent hole.
5. Pull up on the lower grip to unlock the cable
6. Ensure the cable sleeve is fully seated on the
upper grip.
7. Align the handle cap and secure all four screws
with a Phillips #2 screwdriver.
NOTE: Hand tighten the screws to avoid stripping
the handle cap plastic.
8. Remove the protective tip from new cable before
use.
WARNING

allow a liquid to flow inside them.
Clean dust and debris from any vents. Keep tool
clean, dry and free of oil or grease. Use only mild
soap and a damp cloth to clean, since certain clean-
ing agents and solvents are harmful to plastics and
other insulated parts. Some of these include gasoline,
turpentine, lacquer thinner, paint thinner, chlorinated
cleaning solvents, ammonia and household deter-
gents containing ammonia. Never use flammable or
combustible solvents around tools.
Cables should be thoroughly flushed with wa-
ter after every use to prevent damaging effects
of sediment and drain cleaning compounds.
WARNING! Wear leather gloves. After washing,
dry the cable completely. Then, wipe cable with an
oiled rag.
