Connecting
your TV

o Coa×iN cane is the cable that comes in from your antenna,cable TV service,
or cable converterbox. Coaxialcable uses "F" connectors.
o Standard stereo A/V canes usually come in sets of three,and are typically
color-coded according to use: _dlowfor video,red for stereoright audio, and
white for stereo left (or mono) audio. Your TV'sstandard AA/inputs are
color-coded in the samemanner as the cabbs.
t S=Video cable is for use with video equipmentthat has S-Videoconnectors.
o Component video canes come in sets of three (typically color-coded red,
green, and blue), and are for usewith video equipment that has componentvideo
connectors.Your TV'sColorStream "p(componentvideo) inputsare color-coded in
the same manner asthe cables.
NOTEREGARDING PETUREQUAUTY
When connecting video equipmentto your ToshibaTV:
o For GOODpicture quality: Usea standard yeltowvideo cable.
o For 8ET[ER picture quality: If your equipment hasS-video connectors,use
an S-video cable instead era standardyellow video cable.(You still must
connect the standard red and white audio cables for full systemconnection,
but do not connect a standardydtow videoc@l'eat the sametLme or the
picture pa%rmance will be unacceptabb.)
o For BESTpicture quality: If your equipmenthas componentvideo
connectors,use componentvideo cablesinsteadofa standard yellowvideo
