Adjusting the Seat

  1. The carrier can be adjusted to two seat positions as baby grows.
    The highest snap is used for infants. To change the seat position, unsnap each seat positoning snap and slide to the desired level. Fasten snaps securely BEFORE placing baby in carrier.

  2. Always select a seat height position that provides the smallest leg opening suitable for the baby. You should be able to fit two fingers between the baby's leg and the carrier's leg openings .

Wearing Your Unit

  1. Put the carrier on before placing your baby in the carrier.
    Make sure the connector strap in the back is buckled securely. With the carrier in front of you, slip the carrier over your head. Buckle the waist belt securely with an audible click.

Connector strap must be buckled securely when carrying baby in the front position. Baby could be seriously injured if shoulder straps slip out of position.


Pull on excess waist belt strap to remove all slack.

  1. Buckle both shoulder straps . Make sure they fasten with an audible click.

Tighten the shoulder straps by pulling on the excess strap .

Using the Side-entry Buckle

To fasten the side-entry buckle

  1. Holding the buckle handle parallel to your body, as shown, place it in the holder and slide it downward. As you slide the handle, it will rotate away from your body. Keep sliding it downward until it locks into position with an audible click.

  2. Check that the handle is locked properly in position by feeling for the handle tip at the bottom of the holder, as shown.
    If you can't feel the tip, push the handle downward until you do.

To unfasten the side-entry buckle

  1. Sit down before removing baby from carrier.
    Release both head support buckles and fold down top of head support.

    With your left arm supporting baby, grasp the side-entry buckle handle with your left hand, as shown.

  2. With your right hand, press the handle release tab and continue to hold down. With your left hand, lift the buckle handle upward until it clicks.
    Twist the buckle handle away from baby in an upward motion until you hear a click.
    Note: Twist until the handle tongue completely clears the groove in the holder.

Using the Unit as a Front Pack

Facing Inward

Tip!
The front position with BABY FACING IN is best for young infants with limited neck control.

  1. Sit down.
    Be sure the side entry buckles and the infant shoulder straps are un-buckled, and carrier is on your lap. Place baby onto carrier facing you with legs straddling carrier.

    While supporting baby's head and back, carefully raise carrier and baby up toward your chest.

  2. Fasten the side-entry buckle . Make sure it fastens with an audible click.
  3. While supporting baby, fasten the head support buckle to the shoulder strap. Make sure it fastens with an audible click.
    Adjust head support as necessary to support baby's head.
    Repeat on the other side.
  4. Make sure baby is comfortable with legs fully through leg openings and baby's arms resting above the sideentry buckle . You should be able to fit two fingers between the baby's leg and the leg openings .
    MAKE SURE ALL BUCKLES ARE FASTENED SECURELY.

Facing Outward


The front position with BABY FACING OUTWARD is only for babies who can hold up head and neck unassisted (about 4 to 5 months old).

  1. Sit down.
    With unbuckled carrier on your lap, place baby onto carrier facing away from you with legs straddling carrier.

    Support baby's chest while bringing the carrier up toward baby's chest.
  2. Fasten the side-entry buckle . Make sure it fastens with an audible click. Secure the bib to the Velcro inside carrier .

  3. Fold head support and bib down, then fasten the head support buckle to the shoulder strap. Make sure it fastens with an audible click. Repeat on the other side.

  4. Make sure baby is comfortable with legs fully through leg openings and baby's arms resting above the sideentry buckle . You should be able to fit two fingers between the baby's leg and the leg openings .
    MAKE SURE ALL BUCKLES ARE FASTENED SECURELY.

Using the Unit as a Backpack


Child MUST be able to sit upright unassisted (about 6 months old) and MUST be in the face-in position.

  1. Sit down.
    With carrier on your lap, have child sit with legs straddling the carrier seat. Parent straps and waist belt should be facing away from you, as shown.

  2. While supporting baby's head and back, fasten the side-entry buckle . Make sure it fastens with an audible click.
  3. Have a second person put the carrier with the child in it on your back as you pull the parent straps over your shoulders.

  4. Fasten waist belt . Make sure it fastens with an audible click.
  5. Fasten connector strap . Make sure it fastens with an audible click.
  6. Tighten the parent straps, waist belt, and connector straps by pulling on the excess straps.
  7. Make sure baby is comfortable, with legs fully through leg openings and baby's arms above the side-entry buckle . You should be able to fit two fingers between the child's leg and the leg openings .

Care and Maintenance

  • Buckle all straps before laundering.
  • Hand or machine wash separately in cold water, gentle cycle.
  • Do not bleach or iron. Line dry.
  • PRODUCT STORAGE/LIFETIME: For optimal durability and use of this carrier, the manufacturer recommends storing this product in its original packaging or an airtight container in a cool, dry place. Do not expose the product to sun or extreme temperatures. Always check the straps, buckles, and fabric condition before use, particularly after any period of extended storage. This product has a useful lifetime of six (6) years from date of manufacture.

FALL AND SUFFOCATION HAZARD

FALL HAZARD Infants can fall through a wide leg opening or out of carrier.

  • Adjust leg openings to fit baby's legs snugly.
  • Before each use, make sure all fasteners are secure.
  • Take special care when leaning or walking.
  • Never bend at waist; bend at knees.
  • Only use this carrier for children between 7 lb and 32 lbs (3.2 kg and 14.5 kg)

SUFFOCATION HAZARD - Infants under four months can suffocate in this product if face is pressed tight against your body.

  • Do not strap infant too tight against your body.
  • Allow room for head movement.
  • Keep infant's face free from obstructions at all times.

  • NEVER leave child in carrier unless being worn by caregiver. Child may fall, suffocate, or strangle.
  • Child must face towards you until he or she can hold head upright.
  • Check to assure all buckles, snaps, straps, and adjustments are secure before each use.
  • Check for ripped seams, torn straps or fabrics, and damaged fasteners before each use.
  • Ensure proper placement of child in product, including leg placement.
  • Premature infants, infants with respiratory problems, and infants under four months are at the greatest risk of suffocation.
  • Never use a soft carrier when balance or mobility is impaired because of exercise, drowsiness, or medical conditions.
  • Never use a soft carrier while engaging in activities such as cooking and cleaning, which involve a heat source or exposure to chemicals.
  • Never wear a soft carrier while driving or being a passenger in a motor vehicle.
  • Do not place sharp objects in carrier pockets.
  • Ensure child's body parts are clear when closing any fasteners.
