Put the carrier on before placing your baby in the carrier.
With the carrier in front of you, slip the carrier over your head.
Buckle the shoulder strap .
Repeat on the other side.
The carrier should be comfortable and snug.
Pull on adjustment straps to remove slack.
Holding the buckle handle parallel to your body, as shown, place it in the holder and slide it downward. As you slide the handle, it will rotate away from your body. Keep sliding it downward until it locks into position with an audible click.
Check that the handle is locked properly in position by feeling for the handle tip at the bottom of the holder, as shown.
If you can't feel the tip, push the C handle downward until you do.
Sit down before removing baby from carrier.
Release both head support buckles and fold down top of head support.
With your left arm supporting baby, grasp the side-entry buckle handle with your left hand, as shown.
With your right hand, press the handle release tab and continue to hold down. With your left hand, lift the buckle handle upward until it clicks.
Twist the buckle handle away from baby in an upward motion until you hear a click.
Note: Twist until the handle tongue completely clears the groove in the holder.
Slide buckle handle upward out of holder.
Tip! The "hold me close" position, or facing inward, is best for young infants with limited neck control.
Sit down.
With unbuckled carrier on your lap, place baby onto carrier facing you with legs straddling carrier.
BE PREPARED FOR BABY'S SUDDEN MOVEMENT!
While supporting baby's head and back, carefully raise carrier and baby up toward your chest.
Fasten the side-entry buckle . Make sure it fas tens with an audible click.
While supporting baby, fasten the head support buckle to the shoulder strap. Make sure it fastens with an audible click.
Adjust headrest as necessary to support baby's head. Repeat on the other side.
Baby MUST be able to hold up head and neck unassisted (about 4 to 5 months old).
Sit down.
With unsnapped/unbuckled carrier on your lap, place baby onto carrier facing away from you with legs straddling carrier.
BE PREPARED FOR BABY'S SUDDEN MOVEMENT!
Support baby's chest while bringing the carrier up toward baby's chest.
Fasten the side-entry buckle . Make sure it fastens with an audible click.
Fold head support down then fasten the head support buckle to the shoulder strap. Make sure it fastens with an audible click.
Repeat on the other side.
Make sure baby is comfortable with legs fully through the leg openings and baby's arms resting just above the side-entry buckle .
BE SURE THAT ALL BUCKLES AND SNAPS ARE FASTENED SECURELY.
