This Hydraulic system supports 3
Telematics System Requirements:
CAN 2.0 running at 500k baud.
J1939.
Integration of PGNs from VMAC's VCAN protocol.
120-ohm termination resistor across the CAN signal lines.
CAN packet acknowledgment.
The 3
party telematics system must support CAN message acknowledgment
rd
(must not operate in silent mode) unless the display box is always connected
(in which case the display box will acknowledge the messages).
For installations where the display box is not being installed and
will be replaced by telematics, a 120 Ω termination resistor must
be added across the CAN H and CAN L lines close to the telematics
system.
To obtain telematics data from the system you will need to:
1)
Connect the 3rd party telematics system to the Hydraulic system using the
upfitter harness shown in chapter "Hydraulic Driven Air Compressor Harness
Reference" on page 21.
2)
Ensure both systems share a good ground.
3)
Program the telematics system to interpret VCAN messages (custom VMAC
PGNs).
4) Apply power to the Hydraulic system and observe the telematics data (data
will be present if the system is powered, regardless of whether the system is
running or not).
