INSTALLATION
@ Unpack all parts, remove any protective material
and take care not to throw away any separately
packed parts.
@ Fully tighten both record player transit screws A\
(Fig. 3) (screw in clockwise direction). This releases
the record player and enables it to rest on its springs.
@ Do noi place the unit in direct sunlight or close to
radiators, heaters, etc. This will prevent overheating.
@ Do not close any vent holes and ensure that there
is enough ventilation space around the unit.
@ Do not expose the unit to rain or moisture.
CONNECTIONS

@) Terminal for FM aerial, 75 ohms e.g. central aerial
system (NOT ON ALL VERSIONS).
The auxiliary aerial which is supplied can be used
for local FM transmitters. Adjust the direction of
this aerial for best reception.
Note: tis recommended to use an external aerial
particularly for good FM-stereo reception.
Terminal for SW aerial (NOT ON ALL VERSIONS).

sockets,
to connect
a Compact
Disc
player or the sound channel of a TV set.
Loudspeaker terminals for connecting two loud-
speakers, impedance 8 ohms. See also Fig. 6.

©) Mains cable. Connect the plug to a wall socket.
Warning:
Before
connecting
the unit to the
mains, check that the operating voltage given on
the type plate corresponds to the local mains
voltage. If this is not the case, consult your dealer.
©) Voltage selector (NOT ON ALL VERSIONS).
If
your version has a voltage selector, check that
the setting of the voltage selector corresponds
with the local mains voltage.
The type plate is on the rear of the unit.

important note for users in the U.K.:
The U.K. version is not fitted with a mains plug.
When fitting a mains plug to the mains lead, proceed as follows: The
wires in the mains lead are coloured with the following code:
BLUE=NEUTRAL,
BROWN=LIVE.
As
these
colours
may
not
correspond with the colour markings identifying the terminals in your
plug, proceed as follows:
The Brown wire must be connected to the terminal which is marked with
the letter L or coloured Red.
The Blue wire must be connected to the terminal which is marked with
the fetter N or coloured Black.
Note: This equipment must be protected by a 3 Amp Fuse if a 13 Amp
plug is used or, if any other type of plug is used, by
a5 Amp Fuse either
in the plug or adapter or at the distribution board. If in doubt, consult
a qualified electrician.
