recorders, the channel selector of the 4409 is used and the channel on which
the reference recording is made is also connected to the synchro-starter.
In addition it must be ensured that the 1 kHz start signal is free from "flaws"
or wow which might be able to actuate the 4409 too early. Using high-fidelity
tape and a short start signal eliminates this risk. An example of the frequency
response of a motion picture sound reproducing system checked by means of
the B
&
K equipment is shown in Fig. 2.16.
