Close the red tap of the tank and blue tap of the tank
Close the tap of the red hose and of the blue hose then disconnect them from the tank.
Remove the R134a bottle (ref 1b, Fig.51) from its lodging, leaving the resistance around the
scale plate. Set the bottle on a stand at least 40 cm in height.
Disconnect the capillary hose from the tank
From CALIBRATION, select R134A TANK CELL, the following screen is displayed:
Make sure that the tank plate is free and unimpeded (hoses, wires, ...)
With the tank lifted off the scale plate, select Min, verify that the value is 0 g (otherwise use the
keypad) then press ENTER to confirm Min.
 Place the reference weight (from 20 to 28 kg) at the center of the scale plate. Use keys
0 through 9 to type in the value of the weight; press ENTER to confirm MAX.
 Remove the reference weight, the verify the correct reading of the scale, adding and
removing different reference weights.
Press ENTER to exit, then press ESC to exit from CALIBRATION MENU and save.
Switch off the machine and disconnect it from mains supply.
Replace the tank on the scale plate Screw the tank lock nuts (ref 3b, Fig.51).
Connect red and blue hoses to the tank, then open the tap of the red hose and of the blue
hose ,
Open the red tap of the tank and blue tap of the tank
Switch on the machine
 Select the Tare, use keys 0 through 9 to type the value in grams read and press TARE
then press ENTER.
 Then press ESC to exit from CALIBRATION MENU and save.
Replace plastic covers.
NOTE: To get an accurate value of the tare this should be weighed with the empty tank
mounted on the plate (tare value can vary from a few grams, depending on the positioning of
the tank and the tubing connected to it), but it is not always possible or easy empty it. The
value of the tare does not compromise the correct functioning of the cell but simply move the
value "0" reference distorting the availability of a few grams of refrigerant present in the tank
