Remote Control Functions
• First select the source you wish to control by pressing
one of the source selection keys on the remote control
(e g. CD, TAPE, TUNER or VIDEO/AUX).
• Then select the desired function (PLAY, NEXT, etc.).
Note:
Whenever a remote control button is pressed, the source
icon on the display will flicker. This indicates the remote
control signal is received by the set.
(!) ..to switch the unit to standby mode.
DISC UP ..to select the next disc tray for
playback.
CD .to select CD mode.
TAPE .to select TAPE mode.
TUNER .to select TUNER mode.
VIDEO/AUX .to select VIDEO/AUX or external mode.
DPL .to select Dolby Pro Logic Center
Normal, Dolby Pro Logic Center
Phantom, Dolby 3 Stereo or Stereo.
TEST TONE .to check the sound level for Front
Left, Front Right, Center and Rear
speakers respectively.
BALANCE L/R .... to balance the sound level of the
Front Left and Right speakers.
CENTER +/— , to adjust the sound level of the center
speaker.
REAR +/— .... to adjust the sound level of the rear
speakers.
DBB ... to switch on or off dynamic bass boost.
DSC .. to select digital sound control:
OPTIMAL, JAZZ. ROCK. CLASSIC or
POP.
SHUFFLE.. to play CD tracks at random.
VOLUME +/— ...to adjust the volume.

.to start playback in CD mode.
STOP ■
.to stop playback in CD mode.
M PREV./NEXT W
for TUNER.to select a lower/higher tuner preset
station.
for CD.to select previous/next CD track,
for TV/VCR.to select previous/next channel.
PAUSE II .to interrupt play in CD mode.

for TUNER.to select a lower/higher frequency.
for CD.to search for a particular passage.
