Caution
Avoid contact between two seats.
This could cause significant wear
of the parts in contact.
Move and lock the rearward facing
seats of the second row as close
as possible to the front row seat,
depending on the position of the
front row seats. The distance
between the rearward facing seats
of the second row and the forward
facing third row seats should be as
big as possible.

Seat belts

The seat belts are locked during
heavy acceleration or deceleration of
the vehicle, holding the occupants in
the seat position. Therefore the risk of
injury is considerably reduced.
9 Warning
Fasten seat belt before each trip.
In the event of an accident, people
not wearing seat belts endanger
their fellow occupants and
themselves.
Seats, restraints
Seat belts are designed to be used by
only one person at a time.

Periodically check all parts of the belt
system for damage, soiling and
proper functionality.
Have damaged components
replaced. After an accident, have the
belts and triggered belt pretensioners
replaced by a workshop.
Note
Make sure that the belts are not
damaged by shoes or sharp-edged
objects or trapped. Prevent dirt from
getting into the belt retractors.
Note
Use the belt buckle intended for the
respective seat belt when fastening
in order to ensure proper
functionality.
Seat belt reminder
Not removable seats are equipped
with a seat belt reminder, indicated by
a control indicator a in the instrument
cluster and in the overhead console.
