ATTENTION

• On first use the soldering iron may produce smoke, this is just grease used in manufacturing
burning off. It is not harmful to the product or user.
• This item is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been
given supervision or instruction concerning use of the item by a person responsible for their
safety.
• Keep the item or its packaging materials out of children's reach.
• Do not leave the item unsupervised while it is turned on. Keep children away while the item
is in use.
• Do not use it if the item or its power cord has been damaged.
• Do not run the power cord around sharp edges or over hot surfaces.
• Be warned of being burned: Do not touch the metal part of the iron when it's in use as its
temperature will be quite high.
• Be extra careful when using the soldering iron around combustible materials.
• Place the soldering station on a solid, level surface.
• During soldering harmful fumes may escape. Work only in well ventilated places.
• Protect your eyes and body from splashing hot solder by wearing suitable protective gears.
• Turn off the item and unplug it when it's not in use or before cleaning. Do not pull on the
power cord, always grasp the plug itself.
• Allow the item to cool down before cleaning or storing.
• Do not use the item outdoors.
• Do not immerse the item in liquids of any kind. Do not use the item to heat plastic or liquids.
• Do not disassemble the item or try to repair it yourself. It does not contain serviceable parts
for you.

OPERATION

• Unpack the soldering station and check all parts. Damaged parts must not be put into
operation.
• Install the iron stand and wet the cleaning sponge with water.
• Put the soldering iron into the stand.
• Place the soldering station on a solid and dry surface
• Plug in the soldering station and turn it on (I=ON/0=OFF).
• Adjust the temperature by the touch buttons " " and " ".
• Test the temperature by touching the iron tip with solder. If the solder melts easily, you can
start soldering.
• Tin the hot iron tip with solder; wipe off excessive solder with the wet cleaning sponge.
• Heat up the soldering point with the iron and add solder.
• Wait till the solder cools down.
• Clean the tip with the wet sponge after each soldering.
• After the work is done, put the soldering iron back into the stand to cool down and turn off
the soldering station.
• For larger soldering points, set the temperature higher to better perform the soldering.

• Lower the temperature during breaks, which saves energy and extends the life of the
soldering tip.
• Do not file off the soldering tip, or it will be damaged.
• Always put the soldering iron in the stand when it is heating up or during breaks.
• Only use dedicated solder for electronics. Acidic solder can damage the tip or the item.
• Always unplug the item before cleaning it. Unscrewing the housing is not permitted.
• Turn to professional for cord replacement or service.

MAINTENANCE

If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent or
a similarly qualified person in order to avoid hazard.

TIP AND HEATER REPLACEMENT

Tip replacement
Tip replacement must be done only when the iron has completed cooled down to the room
temperature. Unscrew the tip with a tool (e.g. pliers) and replace the old tip with a new one.
Heater replacement
Heater replacement must be done only when the iron has completed cooled down to the room
temperature.
1. Unscrew the tip with a tool (e.g. pliers). Take out the tip, outer tube and heater.
2. Before installing the new heater, ensure that the pins of the new heater are all straight. They
shall never be bent.
3. Aim the groove of the heater at the protruding part of the soldering iron, then gently insert
the heater into the iron.

4. Put the outer tube and tip back in place, then tighten the screw.

GENERAL CLEANING

The outer casing of the iron or station may be cleaned with a damp cloth using small amounts
of liquid detergent. Never submerse the item in liquid or allow any liquid to enter the casing of
the station. Never use solvent to clean the casing.
In compliance with EU Directive WEEE this product is marked with this
symbol. It means that used electrical and electronic products should not
be mixed with general household waste. There is a separate collections
system for these products in compliance with WEEE directive, otherwise
contaminative and hazardous substances can pollute the environment.
