THE INSTRUCTION OF WATER KETTLE

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

General
● Read all instructions carefully. Retain this manual for future use.
● Use this appliance by following these instructions.
● This appliance is not for use by children or individuals with limited physical, sensory or
mental capabilities unless they have received proper supervision or instructions for
safe usage.
● Children must be supervised when near this appliance.
● Any repairs must be carried out by a qualified electrician. Never try to repair the
appliance yourself.
Electricity and heat
● Before use, ensure the mains voltage matches the rating plate on the appliance.
● Always use an earthed wall socket to connect the appliance.
● Before moving the appliance or if it is not in use, remove the plug from the mains
socket.
● When removing the plug from the socket, do not pull on the cord – instead, grasp the
plug.
● Regularly check the power cord, ensuring it is not damaged. If there are any damages,
do not use the appliance. Damaged power cords must be replaced by a qualified repair
service.
● Some parts of this appliance can get hot. To prevent burning yourself, do not touch
these parts.
● The appliance needs space for heat to escape, preventing the risk of a fire. Ensure the
appliance has sufficient space around it. Keep this appliance away from flammable
materials. Never cover this appliance.
● Keep the appliance, its power cord and plug away from hot surfaces, such as hobs and
naked flames.
● Keep the appliance, its power cord and plug away from water and other liquids.
During use
● Never use the appliance outdoors.
● Place the appliance on a flat and stable surface.
● When not in use and before cleaning, remove the plug from the wall socket.
● Ensure the power cord does not hang over the edge of any surface.
● Never touch the appliance, its power cord or plug with wet hands.
● Never use the appliance in a humid room.
● Never immerse the appliance, its power cord or plug in water or other liquid.
● Never reach for the appliance if it falls into water. Immediately remove the plug from the
wall socket – do not use the appliance again.
● Only use the base supplied with the kettle. Never use the base for other purposes.
● Remove the jug from the base, then fill with water from the tap. Never fill the jug above
the 'max' level.
● Only switch on the appliance after it has been filled with water. Only use cold water to
fill.
● Whilst the appliance is in use, ensure the lid is securely closed.
