IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS

1. Before using this appliance, read all instructions. Retain this manual for future
reference.
2. To prevent electrical hazards, do not immerse any part of the appliance or cord in
water or other liquid.
3. Children must be supervised when near the appliance.
4. Always use the appliance on a dry and level surface.
5. Do not use this appliance outdoors.
6. When not in use and before cleaning, unplug the appliance from the socket.
7. If the appliance is damaged or malfunctions in any way, do not use it. Return the
appliance to an authorised service engineer for repair, as special tools are required.
8. Regularly check the supply cord, ensuring there are no damages. If signs of damage
occur, return the entire appliance to an authorised service engineer.
9. Ensure the cord does not hang over a table or counter or touch hot surfaces. Let the
unit cool before wrapping the cord around the base for storage.
10. Parts of this appliance can become hot – do not touch to avoid burns. Do not store or
cover the appliance until it has cooled down completely.
11. Keep this appliance away from hot gas, electric burners, heated ovens and other heat
sources.
12. When cleaning this appliance, do not use harsh abrasives, caustic cleaners or oven
cleaners.
13. When using this appliance, ensure there is enough space on all sides, allowing air to
circulate. Keep the appliance away from curtains, wall coverings, clothing, cloths and
other flammable materials. Extra caution is required for surfaces that are not heat-
resistant – an insulated heat pad is recommended.
14. This appliance is for household use only. Do not use for commercial purposes.
15. When using the toaster, ensure the slide-out crumb tray is in place. Clean the crumb
tray regularly – do not allow crumbs to build up.
16. Do not use this appliance with ingredients containing sugar, jam or preserves.
17. This appliance is not for use by children or individuals with limited physical, sensory
or mental capabilities unless they have received proper supervision or instructions for
safe usage.
18. Children must be supervised when near the appliance.
19. Whilst this appliance is in use, the temperature of surrounding surfaces may be high.
20. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service
agent or similarly qualified persons to avoid a hazard.
