6. Mode control switch
(1) REG mode
Originary transactions are possible.
Reading the grand totalizer —
_ When. the
key is depressed in this mode, the
details. of the grand totalizer are printed, but are not
cleared. from memory: :

Auto check reading
After pressing the numeral key [1] , when the
key is pressed, the details of the check buffer totalizer
are printed out, but its contents are not cleared.
(If the machine is programmed for auto check function
"No", it does not allow auto er reading.)

When the [R/TTL] key is depressed in thie mode, the
details of the batch totalizer are printed, but are not
cleared from memory.

The
date (month, day, year) can be set by entering a
6-digit number (5-digits in the case of a 1-digit month)
then depress the
key.

When the calender timer function is initialized the date -
entry format is different according. to. the setting code 1
through 7. For details of the proper..entry procedure,
refer to MRS-16
in section 3, Initial Presetting.
If the
entry has been correct the date is printed on the journal
and displayed on the display.
Enter the hour
(one or two digits)..and
minute (two
digits) in this sequence, then press the [REP | key.
Example: Setting the time at 9:45 am.:
if the time. is correctly entered, it is displayed along
with the date.
