C. Installing Three to Four PAN-1 Adapters
The Panasonic Doorphone/Door Station Card is capable of connecting a total of four Doorphones, so there could be
up to four Viking PAN-1s connected to it. Since the Panasonic Card provides only two modular jacks for the four
Doorphones, the YELLOW / BLACK wire pairs need to be made accessible to the PAN-1s for Doorphone 2 and
Doorphone 4. A Two Line Jack Adapter (Radio Shack catalog # 279-432) can be used on one of the Card's jacks to
convert one of the BLACK / YELLOW pairs to RED / GREEN for one of the PAN-1s, but these adapters are too large
to be able to use two of them. An alternate method is to use terminal boxes as shown in detail below.

The PAN-1 has no programming features. Please refer to Panasonic's programming instructions for all Doorbox/Door
Opener programmable features.

The PAN-1 when used with a Viking Entry Phone, will operate the same as described in the Panasonic's Operation
Instructions.
Note: Because the Viking E-30 and E-35 have longer power up delay; if the Panasonic system is programmed to output a
doorphone access beep tone when monitoring, the beep tone will not be heard through the E-30 or E-35.
