STEP 12
Assemble the Aviary's Roof Frame
12.1 Using 1 1/2" x 2 1/2" pressure-treated lumber, cut ten rafters 2'-3 3/4" long according to
the dimensions in drawings below. Cut the recesses in inner rafters for connection with frame
beams.
12.2 Using 1 1/2" x 2 1/2" pressure-treated lumber, cut four collar ties 2' long according to the
dimensions in drawings below.
12.3 Using 1 1/2" x 2 1/2" pressure-treated board, cut three boards to 1'-2 1/2" long and
one board to 7 3/4" long that will be ridge boards according the illustration below.
12.4 Connect the beams with 3" and 5" wood screws.
