- 5 - rview 407 Maxx Floating CM Legrest - Installation Ove 3.1 CM LEGREST RECEIVERS (GENERAL INSTALLATION ADJUSTMENT) The Maxx Legrest Receivers are installed into the Center Mount Crosstube using one of two possible mounting hardware confi gurations (refer to Fig. 1. and Fig. 2. below). The mounting hardware will vary depending on the date of manufacture.

- 7 - 407 Maxx Floating CM Legrest - Set-Up/Adjustment 4.0 FLOATING CM LEGREST SET-UP & ADJUSTMENTS: The 407 Maxx Power Positioning System (PPS) off ers a unique Floating CM Legrest design, which allows the foot platform to collapse* when it contacts the ground, to assist with forward transfers. The 407 Maxx PPS can be equipped with a Floating Fixed Center Mount (CM) Legrest, or a Floating Power CM Legrest.

- 9 - 407 Maxx Floating CM Legrest - Set-Up/Adjustment 4.2 KNEE-TO-HEEL (KTH) LENGTH ADJUSTMENTS: IMPORTANT! To avoid potential injury, property damage and/or damage to the legrest/seating system, it is critical that the legrest KTH length (and anterior limit switch), is properly adjusted to ensure the necessary ground clearance is maintained during the anterior tilt function.

- 10 - 407 Maxx Floating CM Legrest - Set-Up/Adjustment 4.2.2 KTH A CM L The Maxx Floating Power CM Legrest off ers an adjustable knee-to-heel (KTH) length, ranging from 13.5” (34cm) - 17.5” (44cm). Adjustments are available in 1/2” (13mm) increments. The KTH length is adjusted via the adjustment screws on the legrest extension brackets (1 screw per bracket).

- 12 - 407 Maxx Floating CM Legrest - Set-Up/Adjustment 4.3.3 F -U F Both the Basic and Standard CM Foot Platforms are designed to be ‘fl ipped-up’ to provide additional clearance at the front of the wheelchair, if necessary. The fl ip-up adjustment is performed by manually lifting the foot platform until it reaches the upright/perpendicular position (as illustrated in the images below).

CURVED CALF PAD HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT: Mounting Plate Adjustment*: The overall height/position of the curved calf pads on the Maxx Floating Fixed CM Legrest and/or the Maxx Floating Power CM Legrest can be adjusted via the calf pad mounting plate (both pads are adjusted simultaneously).

- 14 - 407 Maxx Floating CM Legrest - Set-Up/Adjustment 4.4.2. O The One-Piece Calf Panel is non-adjustable, and installed directly onto the downtube of the upper CM Legrest weldment. The calf panel incorporates a removable fabric covered foam pad, which off ers a larger surface area for added comfort and increased leg support.
