BEFORE USING FOR THE FIRST TIME Fill to max, boil, discard the water, then rinse. Do this twice to remove any manufacturing dust, etc. FILLING Remove the lid. Fill with at least 1 cup of water, but not above max. If you want only 1, 2, or 3 cups of water, fill to the 1, 2, or 3 marks inside the kettle.

TOASTING BREAD Sit the toaster upright on a firm, level, heat-resistant surface. Put the plug into the power socket. Turn the browning control to the required setting (1 = light, 6 = dark). Put bread into the toasting slots (maximum thickness 26mm). Press the lever down fully.
