ATTACHING AND REMOVING LENS
Minolta cameras and lenses are equipped
with bayonet mounts for quick attaching and
removing.
To attach the lens, remove the rear lens cap,
align the red mounting index on the lens barrel
with the red mark on the camera body, and
insert the lens into the mount. Turn the lens
clockwise until it locks in place with a click.
To remove the lens, push the lens-release
button
on
the
camera
and
turn
the
lens
counterclockwise as far as it will go, then lift
the lens out of the mount.
LENS HOOD
The lens is provided with a click-on lens
hood
which
can
be
reversed
for
compact
storage.
To attach the hood, first remove the lens
cap. Squeeze the tabs on either side of the hood
and place the hood on the lens so it seats
securely into the groove on the front end of the
lens.
To store the hood, press its two side tabs
and remove it from the lens. Slide the hood
onto the lens in the reversed position and press
the tabs to attach it. Replace the lens cap.
ZOOMING AND FOCUSING
Grasp the lens textured rubber zooming/
focusing grip with your left hand.
To zoom, slide the grip forward or back¬
ward to the desired focal length. Focal lengths
are marked on the lens barrel.
To
focus,
turn
the
grip
clockwise
or
counterclockwise
until
the
subject
appears
sharpest in the viewfinder.
