Reason of failure
Black smoke
1.
Fuel injector is blocked by carbon

deposit and needle valve is getting
stuck.
(2)
Overload.
(3)
Delay of fuel injection and some fuel
is burning during the process of
emission.
(4)
Incorrect valve clearance and poor
tightness of valve.
Uneven fuel supply of each cylinder
(5)
for fuel injection pump.
Blockage of air intake pipe and air
(6)
filter.
White smoke
2.
Low fuel injection pressure; poor
(1)
atomization with fuel drip.
(2)
Low coolant temperature.
(3)
Water getting into the cylinder.
3.
Blue smoke
(1)
Excessive abrasion of piston ring or
oil getting into the combustion
chamber due to bad elasticity as a
result of carbon deposit.
(2)
Oil level is too high.
Conical air rings are installed upside
(3)
down.

3.Smoke in exhaust gas

(1)
Inspection, repair and replacement.
(2)
Adjust load to ensure it is within the
specified range.
(3)
Adjust the fuel supply advanced angle
of fuel injection pump.
(4)
Check air valve clearance, contact of
air valve sealing surface, performance
of air valve spring to eliminate any
defect.
(5)
Adjust fuel supply of each cylinder.
(6)
Remove and clean air filter.
(1)
Inspect, adjust, repair or replace fuel
injector nozzle parts.
(2)
Increase coolant temperature.
(3)
Check cylinder head liner.
(1)
Clean or replace piston ring.
(2)
Discharge extra oil.
(3)
Face the air ring marked with "upper"
upwards.
