1.4 Procedure
NOTE:
You may use core drilling as an alternate, through bolt, drilling method; 1" recommended.
1. Use the center of the installed cable exit hole for the gantry isocenter. Refer to the Room Layout
Drawing and the following illustration. Make sure the isocenter is at least 82" (2083 mm) from
any obstructions to the rear, and 82" (2083 mm) from any obstructions to either side. (If less
than 82", contact your local GE Field Engineer or Installation Specialist.)

NOTICE
Avoid costly floor rework and installation delays!
Floor repair and mounting hole re–drilling will be required if the correct drilling
template is not used and/or the sub–floor has not been inspected and approved.
Prior to drilling holes in the exam room floor, verify the following:
The Correct drilling template (three are supplied) is used. Contact the GE Field
Engineer or Installation Specialist assigned to the site to ensure the proper
gantry/table alignment is met with the correct drilling template.
An authorized hospital structural engineer or architect has approved the gantry/
table placement and floor hole drilling plan. The approval should include an
inspection of the floor concrete strength, identification of any sub–floor
obstructions, and drill hole size and depth requirements.
