RADIO RECEPTION
e
Set the MODE selector to RADIO.
e
Adjust the sound with the VOLUME control
and the DYNAMIC BASS BOOST bass but-
ton.
Select the wave band using the BAND selec-
tor
(LW not on all versions).
For FM, pull out the telescopic aerial. To
improve FM-reception, incline and turn the
aerial. Reduce its length if the FM-signal is
too strong (too close to a transmitter).
For AM/MW and LW (Medium and Long
Wave), the set is provided with a built-in
aerial, so there is no need to use the tel-
escopic aerial. The aerial can be directed by
turning the whole set.
Tune to a radio station using the TUNING
knob.
When receiving a FM-stereo transmission a
disturbing noise may be heard due to a weak
FM-stereo signal. This can be suppressed by
setting the BAND selector to FM MONO.
You will then hear (and record) the FM pro-
gramme in mono.
The setis switched off if the MODE selector
is inthe TAPE OFF and the recorder buttons
are released.
